The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a fresh notification PDF for SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2026 under the F. No. : E/13/2026-C-2. All Eligible applicants who wish to appear in this examination can apply by visiting the official website of SSC. The online form will filled from 24 April 2026 and last date is 15 May 2026. For applying in this recruitment, age limit is required for Grade ‘D’ posts must not exceed 27 years, while for Grade ‘C’ posts the maximum age limit is 30 years, with a minimum age of 18 years for all posts. Salary
- Stenographer Grade C (post selection) : Pay Level-7 (₹44,900 – 1,42,400); approx. CTC ₹10-12 LPA (incl. DA, HRA, perks).
- Stenographer Grade D (post selection) : Pay Level-4 (₹25,500 – 81,100); approx. CTC ₹6-8 LPA (incl. DA, HRA, perks).
- Additional Benefits : DA, HRA/quarters, TA, medical, PF, gratuity, pension, leave encashment etc. as per rules.
Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT): 200 marks (objective; General Intelligence & Reasoning 50, GA 50, English 100); qualifying: 30% UR, 25% OBC/EWS, 20% others.
- Skill Test in Stenography (Qualifying): Grade C: 100 wpm (English/Hindi); Grade D: 80 wpm (English/Hindi) (10 min dictation; 40% UR/EWS, 35% others pass marks).
- Document Verification (DV) by User Departments.
- Final Merit: Based on CBT marks (category-wise); All India Service Liability.
