The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has issued a new official notification PDF for Karnataka SWRT Teacher Recruitment 2026 under the Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka. A total of 140 vacancies have been announced, including 100 posts under the Residual Post Cadre and 40 posts under the Kalyana Karnataka quota. All candidates can apply online through the official KEA website. The application form filling has started from 21 August 2026 and will last date is 18 September 2026. Eligibility Criteria
- PUC with a minimum of 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR
- PUC with a minimum of 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education; OR
- PUC with a minimum of 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Salary
- Pay Scale : Rs. 41300/- to Rs. 81800/-.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a competitive written examination conducted by KEA, either in online (CBT) or offline OMR mode. The exam consists of two papers, and candidates must also qualify for a Kannada language test unless exempted.
