The Karnataka State Police (KSP) has publsihed a fresh official notification for KSRP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 under the Notification Numbers- 03/Nemakathi-3(B)/RPP/2026-27 and 07/Nemakathi-3(B)/KK/2026-27. There are total 2,314 vacancies have been announced for Special Reserve Police Constable (KSRP), Police Constable (Karnataka State Industrial Security Force – KSISF), and Special Reserve Police Constable (Indian Reserve Battalion – IRB) posts under the Kalyana Karnataka Local Cadre. The application process has started on 13 July 2026 and will apply until 10 August 2026. The written examination will conducted on 20 September 2026. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed 2nd PUC or possess an equivalent qualification. As per Government Order No. 81 dated 27.02.2018, the following qualifications are treated as equivalent to 2nd PUC:
- Class 12 examination conducted by the CBSE or ICSE boards.
- Class 12 examination conducted by the education boards of other state governments.
- Higher secondary education courses/certificates conducted through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
- A one-year vocational/ITI course after SSLC combined with a pass in one PUC subject through NIOS, provided the candidate has passed at least one language subject and one technical/vocational subject (as detailed in the official KSRP Police Constable Recruitment notification PDF).
As per Government Order dated 06.08.2021, private study courses are recognised for equivalence only if they were approved by the concerned university at the time of admission, and such equivalence is verified against University Grants Commission (UGC) records.
