Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality:
- A candidate must be a citizen of India
- With the consent of the Central Government signified in writing, subjects of Nepal or Bhutan may also be appointed
- Sex: Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants
- Educational Qualification:
- A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India
- OR from educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament
- OR declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956
- OR possess an equivalent qualification
- Candidates who have appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified but have not been informed of the results will also be eligible
- Candidates who intend to appear at such a qualifying examination in the year 2026 will also be eligible
- However, qualified candidates must produce proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination (Degree Certificate/Final Mark Sheet/Provisional Degree Certificate) within the time limit prescribed in the Rules
- Degree/Post Graduate/Diploma qualifications acquired through distance learning/part-time are NOT considered.

Salary
- Post : Assistant Commandants (Group A) in Central Armed Police Forces.

- Candidates will receive salary and allowances as per Government of India rules applicable to Group A officers in Central Armed Police Forces.
- The selected candidates will be appointed in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, or SSB based on their merit rank and force preference.
